About the game

''Pets is the second expansion for Piratas! (3rd Edition), introducing loyal animal companions, new hazards, and expanded player interaction to the high seas. In Piratas!, players take on the roles of rival pirate captains sailing unpredictable waters, managing their crews, engaging in naval skirmishes, hunting for treasure, and dealing with sudden sea events. Players navigate the board using action and movement cards to attack rivals, plunder resources, and trigger events, aiming to outmaneuver their opponents. The player who successfully amasses the required amount of gold and glory—or outlasts the competition as the ultimate pirate lord—wins the game. This expansion introduces Pet Cards. Before setting sail, each captain draws two Pet cards and chooses one to accompany them throughout the journey. Each pet grants unique special abilities and tailored bonuses to support your crew's strategy. Building upon the popular event mechanics from the Mares Agitados expansion and the Covil promos, Pets also debuts a brand-new event type: the Thunder (Trovão), unleashing sudden storms that can turn the tide of battle. Alongside these new mechanics, a fresh variety of interaction-heavy cards ensures livelier clashes, more sabotage, and higher stakes around the table. ••• Pets é a segunda expansão para Piratas! 3ª Edição. Nela, animais de estimação são inseridos no jogo e cada jogador receberá um para chamar de seu. Nesta expansão temos a introdução de um novo tipo de carta, as cartas de Pets. Os Pets são companheiros de jornada dos jogadores e, antes do início da partida, cada jogador escolherá um entre dois Pets que receberá na preparação da partida. Pets possuem ações especiais que vão te ajudar no seu objetivo. As cartas de Eventos foram um sucesso na expansão Mares Agitados e também nas Promos do Covil. Por isso, nesta expansão trouxemos mais um tipo de evento: o Trovão. Mais cartas e mais efeitos trazem mais diversão. Pensando nisso, além de cartas exclusivas desta expansão, trazemos também mais cartas diferentes que prometem mais e mais interação entre os jogadores.
