Tooth & Nail: Factions is a board game released in 2012 for 2–4 players and 15–30 minutes per game. It was designed by John Clowdus and its main mechanics are Variable Player Powers, Hand Management, and Open Drafting.
Tooth & Nail: Factions is a customizable card game from Small Box Games for 2-4 players. In another world, where animals reign supreme, the time of peace has come to an end. The Factions are once again at war. Some fight for supremacy, some to defend their way of life and traditions, and others because it was what they were bred to do. Each game of Tooth & Nail: Factions represents a single battle in this war. There are six different Factions, each with its own unique deck of Troops and play style. In the standard two-player game, each player controls a single Faction, while in the Alliance game, both players draft two Factions and combine them to form new decks. Finally, up to four players can play the game using the Enemy of My Enemy rules. While customizable, the entire game of Tooth & Nail: Factions comes in a single box.
Tooth & Nail: Factions supports 2–4 players according to the catalogue. This range comes from the publisher’s listed player count, so the game can be set up for any group size within it. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
The listed playing time for Tooth & Nail: Factions is 15–30 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
Tooth & Nail: Factions has a complexity rating of 2.2 out of 5 from BoardGameGeek players, which makes it a medium-light game. The rating reflects how much rules knowledge, planning and decision-making a typical game demands. Expect a longer first teach for heavier games, and use a preparation guide before game night.

The catalogue lists Tooth & Nail: Factions as a base game. It can be played on its own with the components in the box and does not require any other title. Expansions, if any exist, add new content or rules on top of it and are listed separately in the catalogue with a link back to this base game.
