Accentuate Quotes Expansion: Films is an expansion for Accentuate released in 2015 for 4–12 players and ages 12 and up. It was designed by Graeme Fraser-Bell and its main mechanics are Acting.
It's simple: read a quote from a Quotation Card in the accent printed on the Accent Card selected; if your team mates guess correctly you win a point. The trick is to convey the essence of the accent to your team mates, without giving any verbal or visual clues. Your team mates' jobs are to giggle hysterically, ridicule you and - regardless of how terrible your accent is - guess correctly. This expansion adds a new deck of quotes based on films, and a new method of scoring based on correctly guessing the name of the film!
Accentuate Quotes Expansion: Films supports 4–12 players according to the catalogue. This range comes from the publisher’s listed player count, so the game can be set up for any group size within it. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
The catalogue lists Accentuate Quotes Expansion: Films for ages 12 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
