AracKhan Wars: A Trail of Ashes is an expansion for AracKhan Wars: Rise of the Grey Order released in 2023 for 2–4 players, 30–60 minutes per game, and ages 14 and up. It was designed by Robert Palmer and Mickaël Bour and its main mechanics are Variable Player Powers, Hand Management, and Area Majority / Influence.
As their offensive progresses, the Grey Order unveils some of their plans. In the northwest, it intends to prevent any alliance between the Whitelands and the Nakka, while attempting to take control of the latter’s primordial forests. A little further south, the order of patriarchs of the Western forges seem to be trampling on the old trade agreements giving access to the precious Hilgard steel, one of the pillars of the Order's power. The peoples that are under attack will not allow themselves to be dominated as resistance is organized. Unbeknownst to all, a sinister evil is emerging in the South West that could well become the greatest danger AracKhan has ever faced... For or against the Grey Order, players will have to give their best in order to win the wars of AracKhan! Content of this expansion: The Grey Order has 3 new exclusive faction cards to establish its dominance. The Nakka, the Whitelands and the Blight strike back: 1 new card for each faction. Bring the clashes to the borders of Byartur with the new 48-spaces battle mat. The new Terrain mode and its 8 cards will allow you to customize the battlefield with each game. The 48-page Strategy Guide is filled with lessons for any AracKhan Wars player wishing to progress: strategic reflections, faction-by-faction analyzes, study of the 6 exclusive cards of this expansion and new faction deck lists. These will all be great assets to win the game. Terrain mode rules, a short story on Seneschal Arys Riven and a recap of the game structure, integrating all game modes, complete this essential read. —description from the publisher
