Caravanserai: Anahita is an expansion for Caravanserai released in 2025 for 1–4 players, 75–120 minutes per game, and ages 10 and up. It was designed by Pierrot and its main mechanics are Push Your Luck, Loans, and Commodity Speculation.
Everyday life in the caravanserai is quiet, but one day everything changes. Every week, the arbab, the prestigious owner of the place, arrives to inspect everything. But for the stable boys, this day is more about another visit: it's usually the day when Anahita, the arbab's beautiful daughter, joins her father. The little lady enjoys making friends with the boys, who don't hesitate to include her in their latest pranks. —description from the publisher (translated) This third expansion to Caravanserai brings two new characters into the caravanserai: the arbab and Anahita. The arbab works to make your life harder but Anahita is here to help you. The two appear in tandem, balancing out each other. The main goal of the game remains unchanged, but victory conditions can now be triggered by a position that changes from one game to another and not by reaching a set score. The arbab, during his sojourn in the serai limits player options, but his charming daughter offsets this by using her special "favour buttons". This expansion brings a significant change to game mechanics, so primarily it is recommended for seasoned "Caravanserai" players. "Anahita" is compatible with the base game of "Caravanserai", and with both the "Dervish" and "Opium" expansions. Furthermore, Caravanserai is now playable in solo mode too.
Caravanserai: Anahita supports 1–4 players according to the catalogue. This range comes from the publisher’s listed player count, so the game can be set up for any group size within it. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
The listed playing time for Caravanserai: Anahita is 75–120 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Caravanserai: Anahita for ages 10 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
Caravanserai: Anahita belongs to these categories: Arabian and Expansion for Base-game. Its main mechanics are Push Your Luck, Loans, and Commodity Speculation. The catalogue lists Caravanserai: Anahita as an expansion for Caravanserai. Expansions add new content, rules or scenarios to the base game and usually cannot be played on their own, so you need Caravanserai to use it.
