Ghost Pirates: Kickstarter Exclusive Cards is an expansion for Ghost Pirates released in 2012 for 2 players, 30 minutes per game, and ages 13 and up. It was designed by Tim Rodriguez and its main mechanics are Area Movement and Dice Rolling.
This is a set of additional promotional cards for Ghost Pirates that was made available exclusively to those who supported the Kickstarter project at a certain level. The Sea Wolf (captain) - When your captain would be forced to walk the plank, return him to the poop deck under control of your opponent (treat as an additional mate who returns to opponent’s Poop Deck, not your own). Your Mate now runs the ship, and must behave as the captain if he is on your ship (or once he returns to your ship). Rats (treasure) - Play on a cargo hold. This cargo hold enters play with 0 crew and may not be replaced. Any fights taking place here score one additional automatic hit per side. East India Trading Co. Representative (captain) - On your turn, when EITC rep is in a fight, kill one opposing crew before normal fight dice are rolled.
Ghost Pirates: Kickstarter Exclusive Cards supports 2 players according to the catalogue. This is the publisher’s listed player count, so the game is designed for exactly that number of participants. Variants for other group sizes, if any, are described in the rulebook of your edition, so check it before setting up a different configuration.
The listed playing time for Ghost Pirates: Kickstarter Exclusive Cards is 30 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Ghost Pirates: Kickstarter Exclusive Cards for ages 13 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
