Into The Echoside is a board game released in 2016 for 2–4 players, 30–60 minutes per game, and ages 13 and up. It was designed by Louis Simpson and Robert "Jumpsteady" Bruce and its main mechanics are Deck, Bag, and Pool Building.
Into the Echoside features game play and a theme that is unique to any other deck building game. It includes everything you need to play including a game board, 12-sided die, rulebook and over 220 cards that pay homage to everything Juggalos love. There are 6 different types of cards in the game (Dark Carnival, Psychopathic, Underground, Item, Fiend and Epic) each one representing a person, character, song or thing from the Juggalo world. There are such cards as Juggalos, Moon Glorious, Vera Lee, Mr. White Suit, The Riddle Box, Rude Boy, DJ Clay, Psychopathic Rydas, Whitney Peyton, Kottonmouth Kings, Boondox, Jamie Madrox, Black Eyed Children, Murder Cloak, Chuck the Chainsaw, Cartoon Nightmares, Mr. Rotten Treats and Boogie Man just to name a very very few! Players will have the opportunity to wield the powers bestowed upon them by some of their favorite artists and characters!
Into The Echoside supports 2–4 players according to the catalogue. This range comes from the publisher’s listed player count, so the game can be set up for any group size within it. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
The listed playing time for Into The Echoside is 30–60 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Into The Echoside for ages 13 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
Into The Echoside has a complexity rating of 2.0 out of 5 from BoardGameGeek players, which makes it a medium-light game. The rating reflects how much rules knowledge, planning and decision-making a typical game demands. Expect a longer first teach for heavier games, and use a preparation guide before game night.
