Le Vol de l’Aigle (Flight of the Eagle ) is a game simulating Napoleonic era campaigns. It is double- blind based, as the players can communicate with each other only through messages carried by the umpire. It is played on nineteenth century maps from Thier’s atlas with a quite simple system. The players are really acting the part of the general, who barely knew where the enemy, as well as his own army, were. The game needs only paper and pens, with a few dice. It is the first volume of a three-volume series eventually covering all the issues of Napoleonic warfare. Includes : - 1806 campaign in Prussia - 1806-1807 scenarios in Poland : Pultusk, Eylau, Friedland - 1809 beginning campaign in Bavaria

The listed playing time for Le Vol de l'Aigle is 600 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Le Vol de l'Aigle for ages 12 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone.
