Rolling Freight: Natural Disaster Cards is an expansion for Rolling Freight released in 2012 for 2–5 players, 90 minutes per game, and ages 10 and up. It was designed by Kevin G. Nunn and its main mechanics are Simulation and Action Points.
The Natural Disaster Cards are a set of promotional cards for the Rolling Freight game. Natural Disasters are shuffled into the contract deck during setup - one into the ‘B’ phase and two into the ‘C’ deck. During the game, when a natural disaster card is drawn from the contract deck, draw a completed contract card at random and remove that link from the game board, along with all saturation markers at both ends of the link. Finish filling the contract track. Finally, place the destroyed contract face-down on top of.its deck. If multiple disasters are drawn while filling the track, destroy additional completed contracts and place them face down on top of the deck, in the order they were drawn.
Rolling Freight: Natural Disaster Cards supports 2–5 players according to the catalogue. This range comes from the publisher’s listed player count, so the game can be set up for any group size within it. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
The listed playing time for Rolling Freight: Natural Disaster Cards is 90 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Rolling Freight: Natural Disaster Cards for ages 10 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
