The Scorpion Clan has been dissolved. The Lion Champion has been disgraced. The Emperor lies dying of the plague, and the Great Clans eye the throne with jealous spirits. It is an age of duty, and age of honor, and age of ambition, and an age of war. It is the era of the great Clan War. The Black Scrolls are being opened, and the forces of the Shadowlands have forged an alliance with ancient enemies among the Crab in an attempt to gain entrance into the Empire. Who will emerge victorious at the most famous battles in history? Who will defend Rokugan, and who will see it fall? Siege: Clan War takes us back in time to the era of the Great Clan War! The Black Scrolls are being opened and soon Fu Leng shall be released on the Empire. Come together with other players to defeat a dark god. During this time of political treachery and military honor you are called to lead the Siege on the Throne Room and vanquish Fu Leng if your army has the capability to overcome the physical and mental challenges that lay ahead of you. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
The listed playing time for Siege: Clan War is 60–120 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Siege: Clan War for ages 14 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
