Sine Tempore: Silicio is an expansion for Sine Tempore released in 2018 for 1–6 players. It was designed by Andrea Colletti and its main mechanics are Variable Player Powers, Dice Rolling, and Grid Movement.
Description from the publisher: A cold planet in a sector not far from Primevus V emanates a known signal; a spaceship identical to yours is sending an unmistakable message: "Life here is possible". However will it be what you expect? Why is another spaceship so close to yours? Why is it so far off course? ... Silicio will guide you along the discovery of numerous events in waiting behind the "Kraken" on an apparently inhospitable planet, against a totally unexpected enemy. This box too contains fantastic miniatures, new boards, new objects and a mini narrative campaign with 10 missions, plus 5 new exploration missions. Silicio’s creatures are classified into three types; at the lowest level of the scale, we have the Babooms, obtained by recycling the oldest remains of the Kraken crew. These beings, turned completely crazy by the transformation, will throw themselves onto our Heroes, with no regard for danger. The O.R.C. are lethal assassins who kill their victims with hard-hearted ruthlessness. Silent, and almost invisible, they will put the cold blood of Achab and company to the test. A.D.E., a true killing machine... is the largest miniature that LMS has ever produced. Driven by an O.R.C., this exoskeleton is able to create an incredible amount of fire. Its physical defense is almost impenetrable, but its gynoid nature means it can be used not only by the Enemies... And of course, how could we not speak of their leader? The first specimen of the Andromeda model, having awakened, has decided to rebel against its owners, killing them only to bring them back to life as mechanical creatures of its own invention. Andromeda is driven by an atavistic hatred for living creatures, second only to her hate for her “younger sister” who replaced her. This is a Kickstarter exclusive expansion.
Sine Tempore: Silicio supports 1–6 players according to the catalogue. This range comes from the publisher’s listed player count, so the game can be set up for any group size within it. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
Sine Tempore: Silicio has a complexity rating of 3.0 out of 5 from BoardGameGeek players, which makes it a medium-weight game. The rating reflects how much rules knowledge, planning and decision-making a typical game demands. Expect a longer first teach for heavier games, and use a preparation guide before game night.
Sine Tempore: Silicio belongs to these categories: Fantasy, Dice, and Exploration. Its main mechanics are Variable Player Powers, Dice Rolling, and Grid Movement. Categories describe the theme and setting of a game, while mechanics describe what players actually do on their turns. Each mechanic links to a catalogue hub with similar games, which helps when you want something comparable.
The credited designers of Sine Tempore: Silicio are: Andrea Colletti. These credits come from the published game data and name the people responsible for the game’s design, not its illustrators or publishers. Designer pages on MeepleRules collect other titles by the same designers, which helps when you enjoy a game and want to find similar ones.
The catalogue lists Sine Tempore: Silicio as an expansion for Sine Tempore. Expansions add new content, rules or scenarios to the base game and usually cannot be played on their own, so you need Sine Tempore to use it. Check that your edition of Sine Tempore is compatible, as some expansions were revised between editions.
