Trick to the Future is a board game released in 2026 for 2–5 players, 40 minutes per game, and ages 12 and up. It was designed by 新澤 大樹 (Taiki Shinzawa) and its main mechanics are Score-and-Reset Game and Trick-taking.
They thought we were crazy, but they’re the fools, I tell you. With the temporal transistors finally operational, we have the power to travel time - to past, present, future, and beyond. Oh, but the fuel must be managed carefully! One too many time jumps and we’ll be unable to make that fateful, final leap home. Who will master the timeline, and who may be lost in time forever? Trick to the Future is a trick-taking game in which you use cards from your hand to time travel. You begin each round with a number of fuel rods on your player board, which may be used to change the values of your cards! Each trick you win represents a successful time jump and earns you points. In addition, you receive points for the spent fuel rods you collect during the round. However, at the end of a round, if you have more tricks won than unspent fuel rods, you score no points. After 3 rounds, the time traveler with the most points wins! Cards use 7-segment digital numbers (like you would see on a digital clock). The "fuel rods" are additional segments that players can place on a card to change the number. For example, a 1 could become a 7 by adding a segment at the top. Or a 7 could become a 0, using 3 fuel rods. —description from the publisher

Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Trick to the Future for ages 12 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
