Wink: Nest of Spies is a board game released in 2021 for 4–8 players, 30 minutes per game, and ages 8 and up. It was designed by Friedhelm Krahwinkel.
You are agents, infiltrating a foreign country, and you must discreetly connect with your local contacts. You have their descriptions, and the Carnival will permit your operation to remain covert; it all seems easy… but beware: the counterintelligence services are on high alert! Each turn, wink at your secret accomplice without being seen by the other players! Your goal is for you and your new accomplice each turn to identify each other with a wink, but without being noticed by the other players. Each time you and your accomplice can discreetly recognize one another with a wink, you each score a point. Whenever you reveal the hidden connection between two other conspirators by intercepting their winking, you score both of the points they should have gotten! This is not for the faint of heart: You must act quickly, keep your cool, and be daring!
Wink: Nest of Spies supports 4–8 players according to the catalogue. This range comes from the publisher’s listed player count, so the game can be set up for any group size within it. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
The listed playing time for Wink: Nest of Spies is 30 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Wink: Nest of Spies for ages 8 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
