Bag the Hun is a board game released in 2003 for 2–8 players, 120 minutes per game, and ages 12 and up. It was designed by Richard Clarke (III) and Nick Skinner and its main mechanics are Dice Rolling, Hexagon Grid, and Simulation.
From the publisher: Rules for aerial conflict during the Second World War. Placing emphasis on the skills of the pilot in these easy to use dogfighting rules that do not need car aerials or aeronautical qualifications. In a dogfight your chances of survival depend heavily upon your ability as a pilot and the fighting qualities of your aircraft. Fly out of the sun to pounce on your unsuspecting opponent, and use your skills to keep on his tail, maximizing your chances of a kill. Abandon your wingman and suffer the consequences! The Bag the Hun system uses the TooFatLardies card based turn sequences to remove unrealistic predictability and allows you to fight actions involving up to 30 aircraft in an evening. All you need is a hex cloth and some planes.
Bag the Hun supports 2–8 players according to the catalogue. This range comes from the publisher’s listed player count, so the game can be set up for any group size within it. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
The listed playing time for Bag the Hun is 120 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Bag the Hun for ages 12 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
