Jenus: Il Gioco is a board game released in 2014 for 2–5 players, 30–40 minutes per game, and ages 18 and up. It was designed by Immanuel Casto and its main mechanics are Hand Management.
From the publisher: What would happen if Jesus returned to Earth and swooped down from the Kingdom of Heaven crashing to the ground, losing his memory? Just like Jenus, you too have a mission but you do not remember what it is! Embark on a journey to divine glory, to discover your lost memory. Fight to rise to holiness or world domination. Perform miracles, dispense indulgences, fight against demons evoked by the Vatican and spread the Word. You will be Jenus, returned to earth to give hope to the people, the tender Angius, the redeemed Paolo Brosio, the chaste Claudia Koll or the cruel ex-pope Ratzinger? Inside you will find: rules, 74 cards, 5 Player Cards, 5 Holiness Points tokens and 5 Hit Points tokens and 1 First Player token At the beginning of the game you will be given a covered character card that you can not watch until you reach 5 Sanctity points. The five available characters are: Jenus, Angius, Claudia Koll, Paolo Brosio or Ratzinger, each with specific abilities according to their class (two humans, two deities and a clerical one). The round is developed in 3 phases. 1 - Divine Intervention (at the beginning of the turn, a card is drawn from the Divine Intervention deck, which affects players during the round) 2 - Actions of Characters (the player chooses an action to: evangelize, attack, draw a Miracle card or draw an Indulgence card) 3 - The Demon attacks (The Demon attacks each player, who must defend himself by throwing the dice.) The winner will be the first to reach his goal.
