Ultimate Werewolf: Hunting Party is an expansion for Ultimate Werewolf released in 2017 for 5–75 players, 45–90 minutes per game, and ages 8 and up. It was designed by Ted Alspach and its main mechanics are Variable Player Powers, Storytelling, and Role Playing.
Description from the publisher: What better way to rid your village and the surrounding lands of the werewolf menace but to head up a powerful hunting party, designed to do just that? The Huntress is a one-shot wonder guaranteed to kill her target. The Mad Bomber takes out the two players closest to him if he’s killed. The Revealer has the ability to kill every single werewolf in just one night...unless he’s wrong about who’s a werewolf, in which case he dies. The Mystic Seer knows the exact role of her target. The Mentalist knows if any pair of players are on the same team or not. Not to be outdone by all the newfound power of these villagers, the Werewolves have a new wolf: the Alpha Wolf, who can turn a player into a wolf at night instead of eliminating him.
Ultimate Werewolf: Hunting Party supports 5–75 players according to the catalogue. This range comes from the publisher’s listed player count, so the game can be set up for any group size within it. Some setups, rules and scoring details may still vary by player count, so check your edition’s rulebook for the exact configuration.
The listed playing time for Ultimate Werewolf: Hunting Party is 45–90 minutes. This is the publisher’s estimate for a full game. The actual duration depends on the group, the player count and familiarity with the rules: first sessions usually run longer, while experienced groups often finish faster. Setup and teaching time are not included in this estimate.
The catalogue lists Ultimate Werewolf: Hunting Party for ages 8 and up. This is the publisher’s recommendation and reflects reading demands, rule complexity and small components rather than theme alone. Younger players can often join with help from an adult, so check the age guidance on your edition and consider your group’s experience with board games.
Ultimate Werewolf: Hunting Party has a complexity rating of 1.5 out of 5 from BoardGameGeek players, which makes it a light game. The rating reflects how much rules knowledge, planning and decision-making a typical game demands. Expect a longer first teach for heavier games, and use a preparation guide before game night.
