This 3rd MBT expansion focuses on Canada’s armored and mechanized forces. The 4th Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group (4CMBG) is the forward element of Canadian Forces Europe. Positioned at Lahr in Southern West Germany, the brigade is poised to support VII (US) Corps and II (FRG) Corps against incursions from Soviet GSFG or CGF forces. This box contains 5 new scenarios. The 2 new double-sided geomorphic maps can be combined with all other MBT base game and expansion maps to create new battlefields. Detailed TO&E for the Canadian Brigade is also included. In order to play this expansion onlz the MBT basic game is required. The MBT: BAOR and/or MBT: FRG expansions are not. They represent individuals of various ranks and skills that can influence gameplay in a number of unique ways. In almost all cases, scenarios do not indicate the presence of any particular leader or leaders. Players may freely add any number of leaders or none at all. Just decide by mutual agreement. Follow the recommended command structure below, or just go with whatever works. There is no correct or incorrect approach as battlefield conditions make for very fluid situations. There may be occasions where junior officers or NCOs find themselves in overall command or senior officers are commanding only a small contingent. The catalogue lists MBT: 4CMBG as an expansion for MBT (Second Edition). Expansions add new content, rules or scenarios to the base game and usually cannot be played on their own, so you need MBT (Second Edition) to use it. Check that your edition of MBT (Second Edition) is compatible, as some expansions were revised between editions.
